Centres like Penhurst  ALWAYS need to fundraise

This old house needs constant attention to keep it in good working order and we have so many practical and creative ideas that require funding.  At present we are still struggling to pay off a loan that we took out to pay for the Orchard Rooms. The sooner we can be free from that the sooner we will be able to use any extra funds for the exciting things – enhancing the orchard as a place of prayer and meditation, creating an art room, buying a ride-on mower etc. etc.

Here are ways you can help:

Support us financiallyCross and berries

You can make a one-off donation at the bottom of the page. We appreciate every penny we receive and promise to put it all to good use. If you are a tax-payer and able to Gift-Aid your donation then please make sure that you do so as we can then receive the government’s donation too.

If you are able to commit to a regular monthly amount [no matter how small] then please contact us and we'll send you a standing order form to fill in. A few pounds per month may make little difference to you but it’s amazing what a difference it would make to our income. If all of the people on our mailing list gave £8 per month for a year we could pay off our loan within 12 months.

Run a fundraising event for us in your area

We have already had a sponsored walk, a sponsored bike ride, a summer concert, a big cream tea party, concerts from both musicians and singers but we're sure you can think of lots more. How about a coffee morning, garage sale, auction of promises, a street party or sponsored slim?

We'd love to think that fun community events might also be raising money for Penhurst.

If you do decide to do this let us know so that we can supply you with a ‘fundraising information pack' containing information about the Centre and the project. We may also be able to help publicise your event if this is appropriate.

Attend a fundraising event run by us or by one of our family of supporters

They run along the Ridge to Ore then down to Old Town and back along the sea front. it is run under Uk Athletic rules. Jay is in training at the moment when she's not here working as an Assistant Warden.
